Bobble Bobble: Con departures
Feb. 2nd, 2006 08:24 pmI leave for the Peg One con tomorrow and I've already seen to my packing. Got the last minute odds and ends to do tomorrow (must remember the toothpaste this time and not need an emergency Boots stop), but the essentials are in there.
It's scary.
Anyone who knows me will know that I usually don't start my packing until around an hour before I leave, even when on my way to Canada. This usually results in much running around and impressions of headless chickens.
Even scarier, I seem to have managed to pack even lighter than for SG10 and I'm now terribly worried about what I've forgotten. Me and packing light aren't compatible concepts.
The main reason for this spate of sensibility is that I am absolutely, complete and totally knackered. I'm at the feeling slightly icky stage of knackered. I really want to enjoy this con so I'm hoping to sleep in fairly late tomorrow, which means that the majority of my packing must be done to maximise the lie-in. Gotta drop some odds off at
terrylbirch's house, pop into town for a few bits that I couldn't buy at the weekend due to the lurgie and then head over to pick up
paranoidangel42 at 2pm. Nobody should use this as a guide to when I'm going to arrive at the Peg One hotel. M4 motorway junctions defeated me last time and I'm sure the Gods of Roads and Directions will smite me down this time if I get too cocky.
I may post tomorrow before I leave, but if I don't I hope that every in LJ land is safe and happy over the weekend and I will return with many photos and tales. I may even remember to take photos of Joe Flannigan. Maybe.
