When I emailed Da Boss to tell him that I needed to change my holiday dates for the con, he decided that I should try to get into a later running of the training course and enjoy my con properly :-) Haven't heard back from the trainer about whether this will be possible, but it's a small weight off my mind. No further news on the hip so it's not all perfect, but at least something seems to be going well.

Got to spend the afternoon in a terribly boring meeting in a room at just the right temperature to send me to sleep. Propping the eye-lids up with match-sticks became neccessary. The meeting was at another office ten miles away, but the company kindly lays on shuttle buses between the sites so I didn't even have to drive. Sadly, I fell asleep on the bus. What a pity. How much of my afternoon did that process waste?

Maybe I'll have a really early night. After watching the final episode of my Pride and Prejudice DVD, of course. Jane has to finally win her man and Darcy has to attempt a marriage proposal that isn't offensive and bound for disaster. Nope, not a soppy romantic at all :-))

Unless there was any useful work you could do on the bus I'd say falling asleep and allowing your subconscious to process all that interesting information is a great use of your time!

I have the Chronicles of Riddick to finish plus another couple of episodes of NYPD Blue. Or I might start on series 2 of Spaced, can't decide. :-)

*g* The only way that I could have done work on the bus would have been if they'd given me a laptop. My subconcious processed that...interesting and...useful information very nicely while I carefully examined my eyelids :-)

Is ther Chronicles of Riddick any good? I thought about seeing it at the cinema but never really got around to it, but it does look visually stunning. Vin Diesel, though...

Mind, Judi Dench (I think that I spotted her in the trailer) is always worth viewing...

Chronicles of Riddick any good?
Well, I liked it which not everyone considers a recommendation... JD is indeed in it. Not a lot but she does pop up a few times and does Dame Judy. Certainly worth it as a rental, or if you spot it v. cheap in the sales.
