Things you don't want to have happen the night before a convention: your camera to develop a fault.
Ack!
It's beautiful and has worked perfectly for twenty months, but tonight it decides to die *sigh* Looks like I'm going to be calling customer services either tomorrow or Monday. And borrowing mother's camera for the con.
I am now bowed, though. I'm going to grab my stuff, pop over to
terrylbirch and wait for G, Saz and co. This con is going to be brilliant, camera or no.

Date: 2005-11-04 12:18 am (UTC)take out the batteries, leave them out for as long as possible (days would be good, but hours may do) ...
... one of my cameras was acting up, the zoom was stuck out and it didn't want to focus or take pictures and I tried everything and was going to return it for repair/jumping up and down on, but instead I took out the batteries to use on something else ... weeks later I put batteries back in the camera and it "rebooted" and has worked fine ever since.
If it's a film camera, then I have no idea!
