FDAS people are great *gg* Had a fabulous time in Manchester meeting up with
yragg,
sazzle_02,
alphekka_alpha,
jedinic,
danamaree and Karen. Travelled up with
terrylbirch, always fun, and had a generally fabulous day. It was a great group - one of those groups where you have some core things in common and have lots of fun sharing ideas and interests that are new to the group. The only problem is that time passes so quickly and there never seems to be enough of it!
Unfortunately, for various reasons,
descended_sg1,
wadjet_theperv and
catspaw_sgjd couldn't make it and they were definitely missed, but they are going to be at SG-10 if we have to drag them there in chains.
Knowing those three, that might not be much of a threat *eg*
Bugs have been found in the review database and are being worked on. A few were very simple little fixes, a couple of others might take a little more work to track down and fix. But the feedback has so far been very useful and certain features that I've added have gone down well. So it's all hopeful :-)
Tomorrow I'll be splitting my time between the review database and some initial design work for the website that I've finally been given the go ahead to design. Today's plan was to sit down with Under Green Hills and get some serious work done on it. Then an uncle called and I just popped 'round for a cup of tea.
Er...seven hours and supper later, I'm back :-)
And I can't believe I got that lost on the way to someone who lives on the other side of town and who's house I've been to a dozen times. The good news is that I found two mosques and a new route to the next town. Always helpful to know :-)

Date: 2005-09-26 10:09 am (UTC)Be whiny if you need. I'm sure that I'd be whiny if I hadn't been able to make it to this weekend's gathering.
How is it going with the new sproglet?

Date: 2005-09-27 11:13 am (UTC)Sounds like something needs to be done so that your sleep patterns are normalised a bit. Not easy, I know, but life is always a little easier to cope with when you're not exhausted all the time.
Was she a lazy feeder? Or an impatient feeder?

Date: 2005-09-27 12:47 pm (UTC)OH!! I used the spoon analagy with my husband about people with FM or any kind of fatigue syndrome. He FINALLY got it!! For me, it's the same way with sleep. If I don't get enough for my body, I'm totally borrowing spoons for the rest of the week!
Love and Hugs!!

Date: 2005-09-28 05:24 pm (UTC)The spoon analogy is fantastic, n'est pas? People without FM (or any other fatigue problems) seem to actually get it where they don't understand a more medical explanation.
The fatigue hasn't been too bad for me lately (although this week I've discovered that I'd probably been running near to empty for a while and I'm finally starting to play catch up). The main problem has been pain - my left hip seems to have settled into a near-permanent pain zone and I seem to be more weather sensitive than I used to be. Still, I just remind myself that it could be so much worse and I'm really very lucky to be as healthy as I am.
