New Year stuff

Happy New Year! Hope 2013 treats you all well.

I don't normally do the resolutions thing, but I'm trying to think about intentions for 2013. To that end, I've got a couple of definable, goal-oriented things and some more general things.

Goals:

1) No steroids, oral or ophthalmic, in 2013.
2) Make it past midnight at the dead dog party at Redemption.
3) Read a non-fiction book.

Intentions:

1) Read. Books, comics, fanfic it doesn't matter. Just read. Last year I set myself a goal for books and then felt a lot of pressure on myself when I dropped behind my goal. So this year, read as much as I want, whatever I want.
2) Write things that make me happy.
3) Knit things for Best Friend in America's baby (due early March).
4) Spend time with friends.
5) See movies at the cinema.
6) Do good things at work but don't let it take over my life.

There. I think those look doable.

You managed goal 2 at the last Redemption.

Only just :-D I think it was about half past midnight when we gave up and headed for bed. This year I plan to do better!

I thought it was 1.30am, but all I really remember was trying not to fall over and wishing I'd gone to bed sooner, so it could equally have been 12.30am.

I remember it being much earlier than 1.30am because I was kind of frustrated with myself for having to leave so early. We were both exhausted and past the point of being sensible, so either of us could be right :-D
