Busy busy day. Very glad to be home and on my way to bed.
Well, it wasn't too bad in the running around sense. Just in the prolonged period of time with other humans sense. It was nice, but maybe next Easter I'll try having a quiet day?
Anyway.
Someone needs to either say "yes, this is a brilliant idea" or talk me out of it. My Big Bang fic has not yet reached the entrance of the Doctor (it's very Bambera-centric) although there are definite hints that he's around. I'd been planning to use the Ninth Doctor because I think he'll fit well in this story, except Rose doesn't work in it and I couldn't figure out how to get rid of her convincingly. She's a little, er, clingy. Mostly I wanted Nine's joy and excitement at things without Ten's darker, more jaded moments.
Now I've seen the Eleventh Doctor and Amy in action and I think they'll both slot in beautifully. In fact, I think they'll be a hugely fun combo with Bambera.
Either this is brilliant or I'm insane. After all, by the time I start writing them I'll only have watched a couple of their stories and Moffat could totally screw with my plans.
OTOH, I could set it very early in their adventures where there are more gaps and more 'getting to know you' type stuff to play with. Hence less chance of Moffat Jossing me.
Opinions? Am I crazy to contemplate this?
