I've finally emailed Wolf Events about disability information for Peg 2. Not sure whether I feel happy or sad about that - on the one hand I'll enjoy the con more if I'm not hurting but on the other it's using the concept of disability and me in one email. Hmmm.
Still, I've explained about the back and hip, mentioned the hypermobility, remembered that
paranoidangel42 could be termed my carer for the purposes of it and sent the email. Hopefully I haven't left it too late :-) I'll see what the response is and whether there's something else that I have to do as well. With any luck,
sazzle02 won't have to watch me struggle around on a walking stick and frown at me from her place of glory at the front of the stage :-)
In news of walking sticks, I am off to London on Saturday with my parents. Among other delights (Da and I are conspiring to get some time in Foyles for good behaviour) we'll be going to a walking stick shop to purchase something more attractive than the current black contraption. So I might be the girl at Peg 2 with a beautifully patterned walking stick! We will also be meeting my little sis for lunch at a good veggie place that Mom's been raving about for month. I've been promised sweet potato fries :-)
It's very weird to realise that Peg 2 is less than four weeks away. I've got the receipt for my ticket (hopefully Wolf will be announcing how they'll handle registration soon...), the confirmation for the hotel and I'm starting to consider how many camera batteries I'll need. With Redemption at the end of Feb, it's going to be a busy few weeks.
