selenay: (goofy doc)
It's possibly a sign that I've been in fandom far too long when the
phrase "still not King" brings an immediate smile. And I'm still
grinning five minutes later.

Possibly it's also a sign that I've finally lost it.

I haven't seen PotC yet. This makes me sad. But Da has promised to
take me on Friday because he is wonderful, which makes me happy. 'Cos
I really need my silly pirate movie. We may take Mom. Possibly. If she
behaves and promises not to drool to much over Orlando Bloom or mourn
his lack of blond elf-ness too loudly.

Today's work idiocy involves email systems being randomly down
(possibly related to yesterday's sudden email purge - the emails still
haven't returned) so we've had to resort to using our
hotmail/gmail/ntl home accounts when sending out vital reports. Wooo!
At the moment my server is up, but a guy with an important
contribution to today's big report had to send it via his webmail
account. If the attachment he was trying to send had been 20K bigger,
it would have had to be sent to my Gmail account to prevent the
company stripping the attachment. Don't I just work for the most
advanced company ever?

Proof!

I finally have proof that I have uneven leg lengths! Which goes to prove that I'm not crazy...mostly.

For years I've been getting the cuffs of trousers chewed up on my right leg and fine on my left. A few months ago, Mom needed to shorten a pair of trousers for me and rather than just fitting them to one leg and shortening the other by the same length, we decided to check both legs. Oddly, we needed to shorted the right by half an inch more than the left. The doc insists that despite my hip dysplasia, my legs are perfectly even...

Well, we've just done the measuring for another pair of trousers to be shortened and the right is half an inch shorter than the left again. I've measured and the trousers definitely started out with even length legs, so it's now definite - something is making my legs uneven and it's probably the damn hips.

It's very strange, but it may help to explain some of the problems that I've been having with my back.

I'm so weird :-)

Can anyone recommend a good RSS reader? I've been using the built-in facilities in Thunderbird for over a year and it's just right for me, but Da is wanting to experiment with getting RSS feeds and isn't really sure where to start with a stand-alone app. To be honest, I'm not either. He has to use Outlook for his mail (work thing) so swapping to Thunderbird isn't an option. Something that he can install as a stand-alone app, preferably that will just log in and pick up feeds regularly without him needing to remind it, would be ideal.

I fall on the mercy and intelligence of my f-list to suggest some things.
