selenayToday I shall mostly be running code as I attempt to make some changes to something I designed a couple of months ago, hampered by the data warehouse which has ground to a shuddering halt. Huh. It's these little things that make my day better.
Da Boss, however, has promised me an exciting new Big Project. I need a nickname for this project. It will involved writing a large, complex tracker, getting user input as to what is actually needed and possibly doing some IT development in conjuction with another team. So, really really big and complex. I am...ridiculously excited by the prospect :-) Such a geek. Really.
The lure of this big project (and getting a couple of my regular jobs assigned to someone else) is making it tough to look seriously at other jobs. Instead, I continue to casually monitor things and see whether anything really tempting appears.
Today is a walking stick day, which doesn't bode well for my mobility at Peg 2 but we'll see how it goes. It's only two days until it starts so that's pretty cool :-)
I am also hungry and have resisted the temptation of the chocolate bar in my desk all morning. I'm feeling very virtuous.
