Got Peg 2 ticket
Jan. 23rd, 2007 09:12 amGot my Peg 2 ticket in the post yesterday - number 90 :-)
Anyone on my f-list want to pipe up with ticket numbers (if you have them yet)?
Judging by some of the comments on the Wolf message boards, I'm very glad that
paranoidangel42 and I have already booked our room at the Sheraton - people are starting to report difficulties getting a room! I'm guessing that this won't be quite as small a con as it was last year.
Today I am mostly working and trying to leave at a sensible time. There will be no Internets at home due to all the computer equipment being moved to make way for a new window, but there is Holby City tonight.
I am considering signing up for
femslash07. Would I be totally crazy considering I've never done a ficathon before in my life?

Date: 2007-01-23 09:48 am (UTC)Having arrangements (and now having tickets in my sticky paw) sorted relieves me a little, at least, and I'm now starting to really look forward to it. At least we've got tickets and a place to stay! Now I just have to get there early enough to snag tickets for a DH photo session...

Date: 2007-01-23 12:27 pm (UTC)Check-in is, I think, after 2pm and check-out is by 12pm. There is a restaurant on site, which is better than the Thistle's, or there's a McDonalds opposite the Thistle. You can usually get parked without much problem if you arrive in the afternoon. I think we often end up with only one key card between the two of us, but that's not too bad if you co-ordinate properly.
We'll have to try to spot each other over the weekend!

Sign-up, you don't know until you try. And I've found there's nothing quite like a deadline for actually getting you to write. And finish something.

That's what I'm figuring at the moment. I'm getting work done on the original novel, but haven't had much inspiration lately for writing fic. I'm hoping that being given some kind of prompt (even if it's just a fandom and a pairing) and a deadline might spur something!

Date: 2007-01-26 10:04 pm (UTC)Hopefully you'll manage to find a table with reasonably sensible people this time! My biggest concern is that I'll be so knackered from the week at work I'll be falling asleep during the meet and greet, particularly if my back continues with the tricks it's been pulling over the last couple of days. I have to remember to get early nights next week so that I'm at least semi-awake Friday evening.
