Today is Monday and, as usual, my data warehouse has ground to a shuddering halt. I'm very glad that my big report got set up at yikes o'clock this morning due to the scheduler because at least it's likely to finish running by lunchtime. Anything that wasn't kicked off then is likely to remain unfinished by the evening. Apparently they had some 'issues' with the overnight batch processing. Go them :-)

I am not sure what I was doing in my sleep last night, but my back sure hurts from it. Silly me. Is it time to go back to bed yet?

In more cheerful thoughts, does anyone know when the new season of Atlantis is likely to start airing in the UK? If it's going to be while I'm in Canada (less than two weeks to go!) then I may just download the first couple of episodes now rather than attempting to record them. So far, Torchwood is scheduled properly (for around twelve hours after I return to the country), but I know nothing on likely air dates for Atlantis or the new version of Robin Hood that will probably be mightily bad with very unlikely pretty people but totally unmissable. So, info peeps?

In a show of intelligence, I did not begin watching Jane Eyre last night. I will be away for the second half. Plus I always want to slap Jane so watching the DVDs when my parents aren't around to laught at me is probably a good plan.

I've heard Atlantis carries on in Canada (and will be ahead of America) in 5 weeks, but that's all I know (and all I care about!).

The BBC are being really annoying with Robin Hood, given they've been saying it's coming soon since Doctor Who finished. They have a tendency not to give actual dates till a week in advance, which is just not helpful.

When have you heard Torchwood is starting? I'm collecting rumours, so far I have 21st/22nd/28th October on BBC1/2/3 at 9pm (can't remember now if I've heard any other times, would be a shame to only have one rumour for that one!).

22nd was the one I heard BBC2 with :) Although that's the only rumour I actually heard, the other dates were ones mum told me about. I'd definitely prefer Sunday, as I might actually be in for it!

The stupid thing is that they do their schedules months in advance but won't tell anyone anything more than two weeks in advance. It might be worth doing a search of the Radio Times website just befpore you go (http://www.radiotimes.com/tv/now.html), see if anything comes up there.

The Radio Times preview of the autumn shows had Torchwood listed as a BBC3 thing. I'm sure that it will be moving over to the main channels pretty quickly, but it's first airing will be on BBC3.

That's what I've heard up till now, but you know what rumours are like :)

Mind you, I'm now not quite so convinced of the RT website because I thought I'd look for The Avengers on it yesterday and it found nothing. And then today the TV guide says it's back on BBC4 next Thursday. Hmm.

My TV guide also talks about interviews with the stars of Robin Hood, which makes it sound like it's starting the week after next.

I just saw a post from Una (altariel1) who said she saw a trailer for Robin Hood where they actually gave a start date of 7th October.

As it's 13 episodes, they won't get that in before Christmas!

I saw that trailer, too

You can tell I don't watch TV, and when I do I don't have adverts and trailers :)

Wonder what they'll do with the scheduling on that one?

They're going to have the same problem with Torchwood. I don't know whether they'll put extra episodes on on other days or something. They don't usually stop these sort of things before Christmas and carry on afterwards.

And I've now also heard 27th November for Torchwood, which is a Monday. And is the same day as the last episode of the current series of Spooks, so I very much doubt it'd be 9pm if that was the right date. Or at least, I hope it isn't!
