Selenay's Ramblings

I've just had a message from a friend that I started high school with and haven't seen for over ten years - we lost contact when she moved away after her parents' divorce. I'm so excited :-)

When I say 'just had a message', I mean that it was on an old email address that I haven't checked for two months so she actually tried to contact me about six weeks ago. Hopefully she hasn't given up on me. She found me through FriendReunited and I've actually paid to upgrade my account so that I could reply to her message - they annoyingly don't send contact details with their messages, although it's probably actually safer that way. I've given her a current email address and hopefully she'll contact me soon. I've also changed my FriendsReunited contact details so that I'll know faster if anyone else tries to contact me :-)

I am terribly excited about this because I missed her dreadfully and I've thought about her a lot over the years, wondering how I could find her again. I'm going to be stupidly impatient until she replies and horridly disappointed if she doesn't.

In other good news, I have a definite interview booked at the end of the month and the arts trust contacted me to say yes to my proposal for their website. It's been a very good day all round, really.

But it's cold. Very, very cold. Beautiful, bright, crisp and gorgeous, but I'm wearing fingerless gloves and my big, comfy purple chenille sweater because it's darned cold.
