I blame Tumblr

In more cheerful news...
On Sunday, Mum and I were chatting to a friend at church and the end result is that the three of us are going out for dinner and then Snow White and the Huntsman tonight. My initial "but it wasn't in the plan!" panic subsided by Sunday evening and now I'm really looking forward to it. Particularly as it means nobody has to cook tonight :-D
Tumblr is an evil place because it keeps linking to very cute interview gifs with Kirsten Stewert and Charlize Theron. Normally I'm not a big fan of either. Now I'm crushing hard on both of them. Thank you, Tumblr.
I say it's Tumblr's fault but that's probably inaccurate: after all, I'm the one who figures out who to follow. If my dash is currently filled with Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Avengers cartoons and KStew and Charlize Theron gifs then it's probably my fault completely.
It's easier to blame Tumblr for it, though :-D
Last night I wrote 900 words (ish) of my Big Bang. I suspect that I'll be re-writing all of that before I go forward, but it did give me a better feel for where and how I want that scene to read. So, you know, 900 words are being trashed but it's getting me somewhere so the evening and the words aren't wasted.
Now I just need to figure out the next scene for Sum of Parts. It's a character scene with a small bit of plot advancement. I'm usually much better at thinking through the scenes that are plot-heavy with small bits of character, but stories need a mixture of both. It changed shape three times as I thought about it during my drive home last night and I think that I've settled on who is in the scene and where it is set. I've even combined the functions of two scenes into this one. Now I just need to find the scene opening line and I should be able to write it.
Is it weird that I'm finding it much easier to write using my iPad plus wireless keyboard than my big computer? Even if I've got the desktop on and I'm sitting next to it? I suspect that it's due to lack of distractions or something. Hmm.
