Early start
Jan. 30th, 2006 07:59 amI've already been in work for fifteen minutes and I'm feeling kinda glad that I forced myself in this early - our data warehouse is crawling like an arthritic snail and I have a deadline for the first set of figures approaching. The report that generates those numbers should have taken five minutes to run. I set it off when I arrived and it still ain't back.
Why am I starting to get the sneaky suspcion that this is going to be a stressful day already? Hell, it ain't even my official start time yet and I'm feeling stressed!

Date: 2006-01-30 11:37 am (UTC)You'll be fine.
And only a few days until the convention. Speaking of which, I'll be arriving at the Sheraton around midday on Friday, do you want to catch up that afternoon, you might be at work and then you got the party (upon which you must tell me everything about, in detail afterward).
I don't think I have your mobile number. Could I email you mine?

Date: 2006-01-31 10:07 am (UTC)I'll be arriving at the Sheraton at some time on Friday afternoon but make no promises about the time - for SG10 I cheerfully gave an arrival time and then got lost, ending up rather later than planned. Have learned my lesson and simply plan to appear between 3pm and 8pm :-)
Email me your mobile number and I'll send you mine so we can attempt to co-ordinate locations :-) I will try to report full details of the party afterwards :-)
