So, the network has gone down at work so I'm staring at a computer that I can't do anything on. At all.

I knew there was a reason why Thursdays are evil.

I guess that I'll just have to read my f-list until something becomes workable again. Oh, the hardship.

You can use the internet when your network goes down? You're so lucky - we can't!

Well, it turns out that the problem was a couple of servers crashed rather than the entire network. So, Internet still available although nothing else was.

And now I have to redo everything that I did yesterday due to the loss of data. Grrrrr.

That's crap. Do they not have backups?

*sigh* Apparently it crashed before they ran the back-up. Although we are starting to doubt that because they told us that they could find the lost data if we submitted a work order, but it will take at least two weeks.

It's a really amazing IT department over there.
