I just had the marks back from the assignment that came as a slight shock a couple of weeks ago (mental note: read more than one week ahead in diary and do not confuse Thursdays with Tuesdays) and have done amazingly well. I'm feeling a little more confident at getting the degree class that I'm aiming for as long as I don't flunk the research project completely. Yay me.

Tomorrow is going to busy and, apparently, just as hot as today *sigh* 29C is too hot at the best of times, but when you have a bunch of college work and the tail end of a cold? Erm, no. But I have to get up and go to a meeting tomorrow morning anyway. Oh, well, at least it will get me off my ass and moving on some elements of the group project I'm working on that have been neglected. And I must write the essay on cyberspace by Friday so it can go to be critiqued. Must not forget. Musn't. It must be done by Friday. Not Monday, not Sunday - Friday.

If I say it often enough, maybe I'll remember the correct day.

Won't do it tonight, though. At the moment I plan to write a few more pages of the novel that I promised I wouldn't start until I'd finished other projects (should I just forget all these virtuous promises that I make myself?) and then veg out for the evening. It's too flipping hot. Maybe I should emigrate to northern Alaska.

I think they should install big air conditioners in the sky over England so whenever it goes over about 25C they cool it down to be more pleasant.

Isn't Canada hotter in the summer? And colder in the winter? As much as I complain about the hot/cold/rain/lack of rain in this country, I'm very glad it's not hotter/colder/rainier/less rainy than it is.
