So far, today has been much better than the first two days of this week. I had a call from a recruitment company about a possible job. It's not Teh Perfic job, but it's a developer job and I think that it's one that I could actually do. So I'm saying yes to being put forward, which means that I currently have three applications that I'm waiting to hear about interviews on.

Replacement battery for the dead UPS arrived and will be installed tomorrow because in a few minutes I'm leaving to pick up a friend and treck up to London for Guys and Dolls. paranoidangel42has, I believe, already seen this due to the Ewan McGregor-ish presence. I'm looking forward to it :-)

Which means that I must dash and make myself presentable (I always have an insane fear that a theatre will throw me out if I'm not dressed well enough) before braving the evening traffic. I'm leaving a ton of time to make our train, but I know the traffic around here and unfortunately they've decided to put roadworks on one of the busiest roads. Getting to work on time is fun right now :-)

The friend I was with paid for a pair of the opera glasses, so I know my binoculars were better (but we really needed one each!)

*g* We were just happy to see Ewan and confirm that he really was down there. Plus, y'know, we couldn't oggle properly without seeing facial expressions :-)

Sadly, I don't own binoculars :-(
