Giving me some faith in the system...
Jun. 28th, 2005 03:50 pmGrrr. Very frustrated Sel sitting here. I attempted to refill a prescription today. I dropped off the repeat form at the doctor's last week with the correct medication ticked. In fact, it was the mother who dropped it off and she has so much faith in me that she checked that I'd ticked the right box. For once, her lack of faith helped to restore my trust in my own sanity :-) I'm a very careful person with repeat prescriptions 'cos I don't want to have tons of unused drugs sitting around in my house.
So I picked up the signed script from the doc's yesterday and I decided to fill it on the way home today. I have to start a new pack tomorrow, so this seemed like a rather sensible plan. Handed the script over to the pharmasist and...
"Are you sure you don't have to pay for this one?"
"Um, yes? Look, ticky box. Ticked. Drug name. No payie."
Pharmasist returns the script with a puzzled look. I stare at the drug name. Now, I know that it starts with the right letter, but that's really the only similarity to the stuff that I should have been issued with.
Gah.
The receptionist at the doc's has "kindly" agreed to get a new (correct) prescription signed for me by close of business tonight. I just hope it's ready before the drug store closes because at 8am tomorrow I won't be a happy bunny.
Yes, this was a disgruntled whine *g*
