It's Doctor Who day!

At last, that glorious day of days is here and it's time for some new Doctor Who! I have been doing chores this morning and I am sitting down to write, but after I've got the words down (and a nice walk outside in the sunshine done), I plan to have a mini Doctor Who marathon.

Just because it's been so long.

I can't decide what to watch, though. Should I rewatch the last few episodes of season 9? (Probably.)

The Christmas special? (Er, maybe not.)

Some favourites from earlier new Who? (But which ones?)

An old favourite serial? (Which, let's face it, will be Battlefield because it's my favourite old Who serial and I'll never get tired of watching it.)

Anyone else doing a wee preparatory marathon? What are you watching?

I'm excited! I'm a little hit or miss on 12, but BILL!

Unfortunately I don't have time to do a rewatch.

I've really liked 12, but then, I always love the current Doctor and only start to really examine them after they're gone.

But yes, BILL! I am so excited!

Aw, no time for a rewatch :-( I'm actually surprised that I've got time, but things fell out that way this year and it's delighting me :-)

BBC America, in preparation, has been airing nothing but Doctor Who since maybe Monday morning. I don't have to do anything to prepare, since they've done all the work.

The marathon continues until the new episode airs over here at 8 PM. Given how previous marathons went, they'll probably keep going through tomorrow.

What excellent preparation! I didn't think to check what Space (in Canada) was airing in the way of marathons. They have done some major marathons in the past. Hmm.

No rewatching, but I'm v excited about tonight! *bounces*

Have fun with yours. And, hey, Battlefield, never a bad choice! I did finish watching Planet of Evil this morning, so maybe that counts as preparation, but it was one of the old who serials I hadn't seen before. Up till now, I've been rather too ill to watch them, so I have a bunch I'm spacing out in between other things, which is nice.

I thought about watching something in advance, and considered either Hell Bent or The Eleventh Hour. I didn't, in the end, watch either, but those would have been my choices.

:-) I ended up doing a rewatch of Face the Raven/Heaven Sent/Hell Bent (plus Battlefield), but the Eleventh Hour would also have been a good choice.
