Movies and updates
Jun. 1st, 2004 06:21 pmDidn't get a huge amount of college-type work done today, but that might be because I had to wait in my lounge, pre-shower, for a lot of the day just in case some delivery guy came with a parcel. We're having doorbell issues at the moment and the parcel is my sister's birthday present, which needs to be posted on to her for Friday. Not one of my better days.
I have updated the reviews section on The Haven, though, because I'm trying to train myself into regular updates at the beginning of the month :-)
I love disaster movies :-) I went to see 'The Day After Tomorrow' at the weekend with a friend and I can highly recommend it. Fabulous movie, lots of interesting, intertwining plots, good FX (good enough that I didn't think 'hey, cool FX' until afterwards) and some genuinely worrying perilous moments. Watching LA get destroyed by tornadoes and some helicopters getting fast-frozen were particularly memorable, closely followed by the tidal-wave striking New York. It's the kind of movie that could have been written specially for me, disaster movie junkie that I am. Definitely going on my favourites list :-)
I'm going to see Harry Potter tomorrow night :-) Movie junkie? Me? Erm...
Anyway, Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite of the books and I have high hopes for the movie. And darnit, they keep showing trailers for yet more movies that I want to see. You wait six months with nothing and then twenty come out at once.
Not that I'm complaining *g*
