Stuff and other stuff

I'm having my first slightly-bad-hair day of the new cut. This would be because I slept on it funny and my ridiculous double crown is being awful to me. I thought that it would be fine because it was behaving so nicely yesterday, which is probably what jinxed me.
Note to self: although you usually do the hair wash thing every second day, when the double crown is rebelling it's best just to suck it up and wash it. Gah, hairs.
I've also been doing a bit of book accounting today, trying to get my records up to date for the end of the month reckoning. I finished City of Bones last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. The others in the series will be following me home from the library.
I'm reading Enna Burning on my Kindle, which took several chapters to really pull me in but is now being consumed rapidly. At some stage I must go back and finish GRRM before I sink into any more Kindle books. Although Mira Gran'ts Blackout is calling to me...
My next dead tree book will probably be the final book in Maria V. Snyder's Glass series. It's been sitting on the coffee table making come hither motions at me recently.
Batwoman Elegy has been started and OMG, that book is fabulous. The artwork is gorgeous and keeps me on the panels much longer than I'd normally stay and I'm really intrigued by the plot. I'm also developing a slight crush on Kate Cain. I'm so pleased that I bought this one physically (paperback, not hardcover sadly) instead of digitally.
I did have a small catch-up session with other comics last night as well. I'm still enjoying the Avengers Asssemble series a lot and having read the recent trades of the main Avengers line, the infinity gems stuff makes a lot of sense. It's interesting to see the looks between Tony and Steve when those are being discussed because I actually know why they know where the gems are. Hah!
Also, I had to restrain myself from saying "Oh, Tony!" and "Clint, just no!" aloud several times. Apparently I need to read Avengers books well away from the parents because I want to make a running commentary on them :-D
I'm all up to date on Stormwatch and loving it, I've got a couple of Batgirl issues to read and how the heck haven't I read the most recent two issues of Captain Marvel?
There's a chance that when I'm in the comic shop on Saturday, I may be picking up some more Batwoman stuff. Heh.
Me? Have a comics problem? Um...
I spent large portions of yesterday convinced that it was Tuesday. It's very confusing when I do this. My grasp of space-time is frequently shaky. And people wonder why I have trouble with date arithmetic in coding!
However, that does mean that today is my Friday and tomorrow I'm not working so yay. And due to all the stuff Mum has planned for the weekend, we're doing the groceries tonight and thus I get my coffee-like treat tonight. Why yes, I do bribe myself into doing groceries with pumpkin spice lattes.
