Marvel TV series - yay!
Aug. 29th, 2012 01:39 pmSo, Avengers fandom is all happy because we finally have confirmation of what the TV show will be - SHIELD! :-D
Things I want:
- Coulson lives, obviously
- Cameos from everyone (and I don't just say that as a C/C shipper who needs more than 45 seconds of actual canon interaction)
- Wacky adventures
- Maria Hill or another female assistant director if we can't have her
- The inner workings of an organisation that deals with weird threats to the world on a daily basis via paperwork
- Complex, fascinating plots
- Did I mention Coulson lives?
I am fully prepared for the fact that some of this may not happen. Mostly because I acknowledge that Joss writing the fanon version of SHIELD? So very unlikely.
But I'm still going to hope :-D And enjoy all the fannish speculation because that's always so much fun.
I'd start a countdown to the Avengers DVDs except Canada Post is so unreliable and I'm not risking trying to buy in HMV or something because I would be horribly disappointed to get there after work and find it's sold out.
Instead I will look at That AU (as Fahre calls it) and marvel that I'm only two (big) scenes away from finishing the monstrosity. Those are getting written and then I start some light revisions on Marvel Big Bang before I have to hand in my first draft next week.
I, er, may have finished a shorter thing that just needs some re-reading and editing before I put it on AO3. Probably this weekend. Heh.

Date: 2012-08-29 11:18 pm (UTC)All I ask of SHIELDwood is a long-running joke that no one ever SEES Nick Fury and they all suspect he looks like David Hasselhoff. A Stan Lee Cameo would please me, too. :D It's not that I don't want Coulson to live, it's just... Imagine the A2 gag reel, ok?
*shakes pom poms madly* You can do eeeeeeeeeet! *bounce bounce*
