Blame Fahre

So, Snow White and the Huntsman is a pretty decent movie. Not fun the way the Avengers is because it's not that kind of film, but I enjoyed it and there were definitely some lighter moments in with the more intense stuff that had the audience giggling. I even liked Kirsten Stewert's character, which was my small concern going in. If you like fairy tale re-tells that don't go the comedy/farce direction and pick a more intense, complex route, it's worth seeing.

And now I'm exhausted because I was too wired to sleep when I first got home and then I spent half the night having nightmares about zombies. Note to self: don't read zombie books just before bed. Stick to fanfic.

I probably would have been fine if I hadn't picked up the zombie book after that really fun five times plus one style Clint/Coulson fic I found (I really need to do that recs post) in an effort to calm my brain down.

Today is definitely a lots of caffeine needed day.

Thing I learned this morning: if I leave the house at 7.04AM, it's smooth sailing to work and I get there on time. If I leave the house at 7.07AM, I get stuck behind a school bus and end up ten minutes late to work. Those three minutes make all the difference to my new start time.

You know how I was feeling good and productive on my two serious, thoughtful, nicely structured fics yesterday?

Yeah. Due to a conversation with [livejournal.com profile] fahrenheit_f430 on Twitter I now have 1,000 words of pure crack fic for the Avengers. You should all blame Fahre when I post this, probably sometime next week. The current working title is actually Blame Fahre. I'm going to need to think of a different title, methinks.

Why is the crack fic so much more fun to write than the other stuff?

Also, there is a good chance that by Friday there will be eight volumes of comics (a mixture of Fables and Avengers Ultimates and Black Widow) at the library for me to read. Guess what I'll be madly doing for the next couple of weeks?

I'll take the blame. This is pure crack fic artistry you've discovered! \o/

I'm anticipating it'll read like the mating of this gif with this score. :D

The good news is that what was the most fun to write often tends to be the most fun to read as well.

I still need to sit down and make some use of my Marvel digital subscription. Lots and lots of backstory to catch up on...

Yesterday afternoon I found myself idle at the end of the day and found myself finishing the e-book I'd bought via Google Play and had to read online. (This being the afternoon before the evening in which I got my Android phone functioning and now can read all the Google Play books on my device I damn well want to, the timing is hilarious.) So now the Marvel digital issues are higher up the list of things for me to read when I'm on the computer and not actively dealing with something. (And if I can just get around to clearing out some of the dozen or so tabs lurking in my browser at home, I may even feel free to start idly reading one of these nights.)
