Ugh in a different way today
May. 2nd, 2012 07:58 pmSome minor life hiccups today. My post-Humira nausea didn't hit until around an hour after I got to work. Normally this wouldn't be a disaster, but the work colleagues were planning a trip to McDonald's for lunch to support their McHappy Day thing and, as I felt OK first thing, I didn't bring any lunch because I planned to join them.
Cue panic.
A lovely Twitter/LJ friend was able to access the menu on the McD's site (my work computer is an arse and wouldn't work with it) and walk me through the least offensive options so that I could at least plan what might not unsettle my tummy too badly. Thank you :-)
So now I'm off to McD's with my gang, hoping that there are no smells to make my tummy complain (ah, scent-induced nausea, thank you) and I can get through lunch and feel OK this afternoon.
ETA: On the one hand, I managed to eat something that didn't disagree with me and I felt better after eating. On the other hand, I stopped feeling better after an hour. Ugh.
This evening it is yoga night. I booked my class as soon as I realised how crappy I feel so that I'd be obligated to go out to it, no matter how cruddy I feel later. It's a technique that works well :-) ETA: And I cancelled in favour of a nap anyway. So not always a successful technique. Although I do feel much better for the nap :-)
In more cheeful news, last night I booked my ticket to see the Avengers and I am so damn excited!!
