A variety of thoughts

- I love living in Canada, the lifestyle, the people and basically most things about my life here.

- Programming Oracle reports in Canada is incredibly, insanely horrible.

- A French edition is required in addition to the English, no matter what it's for. They want the French version to be exactly the same format and layout as the English, despite the fact that the French translation is often twice as long as the English equivalent and will not fit in the same-size spaces.

- I've been tearing my hair out over that this week and I have another 25 reports to program and translate. Argh.



- This is my first full week prednisone-free. My appetite is still wonky, mainly consisting of no appetite until the food is in front of me when I become completely ravenous and then very nauseous. Woo?

- It looks like prednisone did wonders for my back. Now that I'm off it completely, I'm wondering how on earth I coped with this before. I hope that rheumatology referral comes through fast.


- I essentially mainlined nine Glee episodes in just under a week. Now I have no Glee until September :-(

- Is it crazy that I now want to write Santana? The bitchiest girl on the planet?

- Or possibly endless Kurt and Rachel friendship fic?

- With a side-order of Santana/Brittany?

- Or that I've hit up AO3 already looking for lovely long Glee fic?

- That I can put onto my Kindle because AO3 has a .mobi download option that is awesome?

- Stop me, I beg you. I need another fandom like I need a hole in the head.

- Or encourage me. That also works. Doctor Who doesn't have much femslash potential for me but Glee did even before Santana came out.

- Apparently due to a crazy American holiday, there will be no Doctor Who here tomorrow. I am going to be forced to commit crimes in order to watch it. And this is why Canadians are often resentful towards Americans.

- Today I have cereal for lunch. This has nothing to do with me being totally exhausted last night (well, maybe a lot) and means that I definitely cannot have cereal for supper again. Apparently living on raisin bran is not an acceptable diet.

You know, it's insane how much I want Santana fic even though I don't properly watch Glee. I can't help it, bitchy girls with secret ~feelings~ are a kink of mine. Oh, if you want enabling, I very much enjoyed Five Stages, lovely long fic all about Santana coming out.

I may possibly have already found and devoured Five Stages, which I loved to pieces. There's a derth of good Santana fic out there, I'm noticing.

But Glee is awesome and Santana is a really really interesting character. I'm loving her development and so many other things about the show. :)
