Cranky Wednesday stuff
May. 11th, 2011 07:25 pm- I have a bad case of the crankies. I want to kill everyone and everything with my brain.
- Yes, that includes fluffy kittens. I'm irrationally cranky right now, don't mess with me.
- Printers are minions of Satan and deserve to die in the fires of a thousand suns.
- A colleague brought in home made cookies. It is the only redeeming feature about today.
- The lunch thing at work went much better than planned. I sat on a table where we got a bunch of dishes and shared, so I could carefully only eat things that I felt confident about (plus three bits of ginger beef that I couldn't resist).
- So far, my stomach feels OK.
- One of the other tables did the same.
- The third table, everyone ordered one of the lunch combos. None of the lunch combos sounded 'safe' to me (i.e. contained anything not fried/deep fried). So glad I didn't sit there.
- I'm very glad that it's over and I still feel OK.
- If I'm still OK in 24 hours, then I'll declare it a success. If it's a success, then I may get a bit more adventurous the next time we go.
- I was also very careful not to overeat. After all, it wouldn't be helpful if the food was OK but I was ill from too much, would it? Then I'd never go again!
- It was very nom. If it's a success, wonder whether I can get Mum there while she's over?
- My stress levels pre-meal were pretty high and I'd probably have run away if I hadn't had colleagues with me, deciding what we would order.
- However, I think that I'm getting better about this and at least this time I had no nightmares about it.
- I'm looking forward to the day when I order something because I like it, without even thinking for a second about what my tummy will do.
- Hopefully that day will be soon.
