Note to self: do not read the bad Buffy fic as you recode it. You may want to run screaming into the night from your own fic.

Guess what I've spent the day doing?

What possessed me to write so much damned fic? And then decide to recode the entire site? Including all that fic? The good news is that I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. 70% of the Buffy fic is recoded, all of the SG fic is finished and that's the bulk of the website. Well, the bulk when I discount the reviews section. I'm making a decision on that: the front page and new additions will be recoded to the new templates, but the rest won't be. It doesn't make much sense to spend days doing that when I hope to have the database up and running in a few weeks. All of this means that I'm hopeful about getting the upgrade online before I go to Redemption. Woo!

Why is Serpent so much easier to write than anything else I'm working on at the moment? Have I become unbelievably lazy or something? Because that stuff is flowing and the original novel feels much harder. Which may be why it hasn't been worked on for a nearly a month. Hmm.

::sends sympathy::

I felt the same way when I was recoding my Phantom Menace stuff. I kept thinking, "people liked this stuff? What were they smoking?"

But then I wrote a Buffy/Giles songfic. My judgement could be impaired :-)
