*yawn* Not dead

Survived the first day of the Work Thing. Wasn't too bad. Very, very boring, but it's 10pm and I'm still awake (just), which is better than I expected. The agency has me on an assignment that should last a few weeks if I want it, so no worries about income for a while, but there's no way that this will be a long-term career. No, siree.

Sent out two job apps that I'm actually qualified for (woo!) and they are apparently looking to interview next week - here's hoping. I'm also pondering a cover letter for a job that I'd really like, but will probably have a huge number of applications and therefore I am unlikely to get. So I've gottta make the cover letter and CV look really good :-)

I'm now off to bed, possibly going to work on A Sensible Man for a bit to wind down ('cos it's a daft, silly original fic with no redeeming features at all). Man, this work *everyday* thing really sucks :-)

Gah, they lied. The company that I was temping at finally got authorisation to hire a permenant member of staff...who arrives tomorrow. I am now unemployed. Grrrr.

Thanks for the vibes on the apps - really hope that something turns up fairly quickly.
