I am slaughtering people today
Apr. 21st, 2009 10:23 amWhy yes, I am working on two things at once today. This is because otherwise I'm sitting on my arse, waiting for you to get back to me about stuff all day. You find it confusing? Well, tough. I am not paid to sit on my arse. I am paid to do some work and if you're going to take all day to get me information then I am damn well going to get on with something else. If that other thing also requires information because you are a pratt, that is not my issue.
Why did I chose a career in IT again?
Anyway.
Today was one of those days when I knew what the weather would be before I even opened my eyes. It's just warm enough that I can have a window open at night (me loves fresh air) and living by the ocean brings its own clues. If I can hear the sea louder than normal, I know there is a strong breeze coming off the ocean. The rain sound is obvious.
This morning I knew that it would be foggy because I could hear the fog horn in the distance. Not enough to wake me up, just enough that I could hear it was there when I lay there after my alarm went off. It's oddly reassuring.
Apparently this weekend is going to be sunny and very warm. My plan to have a total lazy day on Saturday is destined to be scuppered by my sense that I should be doing something constructive when the weather is gorgeous. Damn. Can't it be rainy and miserable so that I don't feel bad about curling up with a cup of tea and a book all day?
