Obviously, I need a life

I've been having so much fun with my final assignment today, that it's either very sad or my assignment will get zero marks. There were graphics! I made up a cycling team! I got to type in really big letters! I got to make with the pretty on an assignment!

Damn, it's been too much fun :-) I've still got the crappy, boring, "what have I learnt and why" portion to do, but making a big poster display has been the highlight of my research project. Ouch.

I've spent the past couple of hours reading some of kylielee1000, thegrrrl2002, maching_monkey and gigitrek's Enterprise slash. I attempted to read some Ent slash in the very early days of the show and ran away in horror at the badfic. If I'd known that these girls were writing it back then (hell, if I'd known they existed), maybe an obssession would have been born. It may not be too late, though...

And there was also hobbit-slash being read last night. I'd promised myself an early night and let it fall by the wayside. Damn. Reading another chapter of 'The Simarilion' after shutting down the computer didn't help, either.

Lastly, if you're looking forward to (or even just thinking about getting) the extended edition of Return of the King, the official site has released a six-minute trailer here. It is so far beyond bloody fantastic :-) How long until Christmas?

In addition to the fine, fine names listed ::buffs nails::, I also love Ana's stuff (umm...try Malcolm Reed, Sex Kitten), and Caroline Crane has some ENT fic that I adore, particularly her Control, which is one of my favorite stories out there. Both wrote quite early on and have since left the fandom. Juli's ENT fanfic is also just a ton of fun.

But lately? Not so much in the readable realm.
