Ramblings and writing progress

selenayIt is truly terrifying when a cousin that you can remember feeding and changing (okay, watching from a distance as her mom changed her because nappyies = icky) is old enough to meet you for lunch in one of your favourite Chinese places. This would be the cousin of a few months ago with the incredible grades who is going to Equador in January to teach English for her gap year. Guh. It makes me feeling so old.
Got some more writing done today :-) Sadly not fanfic, but the original novel is buzzing nicely.
New words handwritten: approx. 250

Not exactly speedy progress, but it was progress. And I like what I wrote today, which helps.
I'm off to watch TV presenters make fools of themselves i.e. the Children in Need telethon because I am a sad sap. Apparently my lovely news presenters (including the wonderful Bill Turnbull who needs to replace Dermot whatsisname as the Breakfast presenter because he's much better) will be Duran Duran. Can't be worse than them doing the Rocky Horror show with Jeremy Vine as Dr. Frank N Furter. It's...scary.
