I would never have thought of this pairing, but I was utterly charmed.

I liked Sally a great deal, and this story felt very much like her.

That's quite sweet and I do like how you got them to meet. I loved the lines that said;

A danger to herself, possibly, a danger to pleasant Scottish countryside, definitely

Yes, a girl might wonder that! But it does turn out to be a great idea and so is your story. They are two particularly sparky and delightful characters and I like the way you have them meet. How lovely to think of them bootling around investigating strange and alien things together, occasionally saving the world, too I'm sure.
