More airline musical chairs

I know this is too much to ask, but could you resist tampering with my seat allocation for a few days? I'm very grateful that you've managed to twig that my father and I want to remain on seats next to each other no matter where you put us, but as I booked my flight in January I don't think that it's too much to ask for our seats to remain as we booked them.
However, as we are still next to each other I am giving in and accepting that we aren't in the row we originally booked. It is too much hard work to fight for seats that you have probably now sold to someone else.
Just...could you leave them as they are now? Pretty please?
