Two belated birthdays

This weekend I managed to note (and not actually post about) two birthdays. So...

Happy Birthday paranoidangel42!

And Happy Birthday netgirl_y2k!

In other thoughts, would someone please talk me out of writing Donna the Time Lord fic? Please? Particularly as I've already written 1,300 words today and I really want to be writing Sensible Man instead.

You're welcome. Did you have a good day? I saw (ah, this morning) that you were offering to spend your birthday writing drabbles. That's rather hobbitish of you :-)

Now I'm feeling the need to finish Donna the Time Lord just to prove that it can work :-)

I did have a good day although it went too quick! I did the drabble writing offering last year too, and since I haven't really written much since I sent the Big Bang fic off to beta it actually make a nice change.

*ggg* Ah, so I should continue, yes? It's not crack, it's turning into actual fic that may be kind of character-ful and thinky and stuff. Because I am really not good at crack :-( I try to write ideas that should be crack, and yet they are not.

So, what kind of car are you after? Sounds like you had a fairly good birthday :-)

Hey, there's a lot to be said for thinky, character-ful fic. I can't write it anymore, I can't write anything that doesn't have a punchline, but if someone *cough*you*cough* were to write serious Donna the Time Lord fic I would be very excited to read it.

Yes, I had a lovely birthday car hunting with my parents. I'm leaning towards a micra or a ka, a wee hatchback of some kind. My dad wants me to get a mazda 323, but that's only so he can have a shot.

I'd go with the Micra :-) I had one for several years and she was fabulous: reliable, cheap to run and cheap to fix if she ever did need anything. I only (reluctantly) sold her when it became obvious that I would have to swap to an automatic for my joints. I know nothing about the Ka. And yes, insurance is a bitch until you're over 25 with the full no claims bonus *sigh* It's one of the few good things about getting older.
