Torchwood thoughts (spoilers)
Jan. 10th, 2008 12:26 pmNot a huge amount of spoilers, but don't click through if you wish to remain pure and unsullied for Wednesday.
Lo, I have been a weak and pitiful human and I have clicked on spoilers. Specifically, spoilers in which people were exclaiming "SQUEEEEE" in very noticeable ways.
You see, I was going to be soooo good. I was going to wait until Wednesday and be completely unprepared. I was going to enter the Torchwood insanity with no clue about what was happened except that James Masters would be in it at some stage.
And then I saw squeeage. And I clicked.
Is it Wednesday already?
I'm still probably relatively unspoiled, but I do now know how (to paraphrase the actors) Ianto and Jack's relationship "progresses and the personal and professional relationships blur". Yay :-))) Not just for the (apparently) good kissing, but actually seeing their relationship really develop beyond surface fuck buddies makes me a very, very, very happy girl.
I have also seen the clip of the clash of the captains that has been floating around. Again with the yay-ness.
I hadn't been too thoroughly excited or fussed until I actually read some of these spoilers yet now I am very definitely excited. Usually I'm so anti-spoiler and refuse to read anything that might even hint at future stuff for shows and I love getting to the episodes with absolutely no clue what will happen. I'd still like to approach each Torchwood episode with no real idea of what specifically will happen, but I think that without the above listed spoilers I wouldn't be making such definite plans to watch it. Shallow? Me? Of course!
Now I must try to resist seeing any more spoilers lest I arrive at Wednesday knowing the entire script almost by heart...
As a final thought: where the hell is the good Jack/Ianto fic? There was one today that made my eyes bleed just from the summary.
I know that I'm mourning the lack of good Teyla/Elizabeth (due to the lack of any Tela/Elizabeth), but with the volume of Jack/Ianto being written you'd think that there would be some halfway decent stuff out there. Bleh.

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If RTD wasn't grim looking and gay, I'd marry him. I haven't looked forward to a season of something starting quite this much in forever!
