Am I crazy to be seeing this as "putting a positive spin on the fact that there will be NO DW series in 2009"? Three specials sounds cool, but that's definitely not the same as thirteen lovely episodes in a row.
Pouting now.
I mean, yes I'm pleased that we'll get a season 5, but having to wait until 2010? Colour me impatient. Damn.
At least I now know and have time to adjust to the fact rather than getting hit in the face with this in a year's time. Grrr.
Is it completely crazy to be getting slightly excited about Worldcon being in Montreal in 2009, which is only two provinces away from where I shall be living at that time? Um. I'm sort of thinking about maybe considering going. Possible. We'll see how the move works out.
Frustratingly, Worldcon is in Denver next year and Best Friend in America also lives in Denver. Except it will be the exact week that I shall probably be emigrating so it's going to be wildly impractical to consider going. Even though I'd have a free bed for it.
Sometimes, I turn into such a huge fangirl.

The series is meant to be bigger than any one actor, or we wouldn't have regeneration in the first place and the whole thing would've ended circa 1966.

If the show goes on for another ten years at a rate of one Doctor per three seasons then we'll be hitting that barrier...
