Ooh, rush job - my favourite

Today is...not worse, but not really better. I have been given a rush job to get a report in place to monitor the effect of a strike. First report needed tomorrow. Eep! There is no time to build a finely crafted custom report for the guy (and he doesn't actually need it for more than a few days unless the strike gets extended) but our all-purpose, idiot-proof tracker doesn't provide data at quite the right level.
At the moment, my best plan is to use a couple of the all purpose, idiot-proof trackers and combine the data. Not pretty, quite manual, and bound to be frustrating. But it's the best solution that I can come up with in a short time-frame. I'll be giving it to someone else to run daily :-)
Da Boss is sick after being out of the office all last week for some work-related thingy. And we have a new guy who started yesterday. Yay. I have been designated temporary boss until Da Boss returns. Hence why I'm trying to get this rush job done and handed off to someone else!
On the up side, my French assignment is in the post, so I shall feel completely justified in having a weekend off and just veging. I shall watch lots of TV (got many episodes of Heroes to catch up on, after all), read fic, read books and eat completely unhealthy food. It shall be a weekend of no stress and just fun. Cheap fun, but fun :-))
