Shaken, but OK
Mar. 12th, 2007 08:53 amOf all the ways there are to start a Monday, being rear-ended on a motorway doesn't rank high on the list.
*sigh*
I'm OK, Sarah-Jane looks OK apart from a cracked registration plate and the other driver stopped so that we could exchange details. I'm just rather shaken up by the whole thing, although I have at least stopped physically shaking!
Not a fun start to the morning.
I'll report it to the insurance company, get it assessed, but I doubt it's going to need much more than a replaced reg plate. We weren't exactly going anywhere fast this morning.
To add to those delights, a core table in our data warehouse is currently missing the weekend's data and we were the first people to spot it. The IT guys apparently spotted that some other tables that feed off that core one were wrong and have been refreshing them in an attempt to get the correct data. Except none of them thought to check the core table. Very smart. So we are currently waiting for them to tell us when they'll have it fixed now that we've drawn their attention to it.
I have so much faith in our IT guys. Not.
Is it time to go home yet? Is it too early to pig out on chocolate? Can I curl up in a corner and cry for a while?
I did manage to do college work over the weekend, meet
historyterry for coffee and get the
femslash07 fic ready for posting. So it was a good weekend. Particularly if you're an England rugby fan :-)
