Oct. 6th, 2004 05:59 pmCarpets were laid yesterday and they are thick, lovely and *non-patterned*. To be honest, we're all wandering around thinking that these can't possibly be our carpets because they're too nice and non-patterned. Love the carpets :-) Don't love the bare chipboard on the bathroom floors as much, so the store got an earful from the mother this morning. I think finding a legitimate target for grouchy yelling took a lot of stress off her. Plus the mess can finally get put back together into a house.

I spent the afternoon renewing selenayhaven.com for another two years (yay!) and finishing the program for my research project. It's all done, all the user interfaces are complete, all the error-handling is there and now I can finish writing the report and meet my deadlines. Yay me :-)
I have, though, decided not to do a website update this month even though I've got 18 reviews to put up. November will just be a huge update instead. It takes a few hours to check, code and copy all the reviews, not to mention the time afterwards to email the writers, and I'll just feel very guilty if I take a day off to do it when I have an exam next week. And after the exam we're getting towards the end of the month, so it makes more sense to hang on until November.
I'm reaching the traditional, slightly nutty, "after my exams..." stage that all Open University students reach. There are so many things that we put off until we've finished studying for the year and then we try to cram it all into the three month break. I probably promise to do things after my exams at least once a day at the moment. Annoyingly, this year things aren't over after the exam due to the research project *sigh* But the workload goes down considerably after the 13th. Yay!
Stargate S8 premier repeats tonight and we have our TV back, so.... *g*
