I have lurgy *nods* I plan to kill J at work for giving me the lurgy. He says that it's a hard one to kick, too.
So on Thursday I shall be lovely and infectious for my trip to the hypermobility clinic. Yay!
I refuse to call in sick to work, though, because I feel that the Prof needs to see regular!Sel not "been in bed resting for two days" Sel. I shall pass the lurgy around the department and sit in my corner surrounded by grotty tissues tomorrow. I'd make the effort to give it to Da Boss, but he has a funeral to go to this week and I am not cruel enough to make him sit through a funeral feeling really ill and ick.
Aren't I lovely?
Mum and I sat down last night and drew up the family tree, marking in everyone who has suspiciously bendy joints and/or osteogensis imperfecta. Um, it's around half of us and we were just looking the descendants of my mother's grandfather. I feel that we may just possibly have an inherited hypermobility disorder in the family. Maybe.
Tomorrow is writing up a summary of The Medical Records of Doom (aka how many times can Sel dislocate or sprain something in a short period of time?). Mum wants to include all the broken toes from the many times that I've tripped on large, very obvious objects that I should have been able to avoid. We'll see.
I'm either a dream or a nightmare for rheumatologists, I just can't decide which yet. I'll know more on Thursday after I've see the country's leading expert.
Also, why does Firefox have palaeontologist in its dictionary but not rheumatologist?
I am now going to watch Holby City like the sad geek that I am. Can you just write Jac out already?

Date: 2007-08-07 08:05 pm (UTC)That's the coverage from a week and a half.
And the migraine's particularly bad because I don't get migraines, so I don't have any idea of how to cope.
Hope yours it a litle less friendly, and buggers off quickly!

Date: 2007-08-08 10:20 am (UTC)I get migraines regularly so I know how to cope. Doesn't mean that I like them, but I know what to do with them!
I love being sick *so* much.
