Tour de France stage 4 and other items
Jul. 12th, 2007 02:34 pmAt last, the sprinters got their day. And I'm pleased that Thor got his stage - with a pinched sciatic nerve, I'm not too sure whether he'll make it over the mountains and it all gets rather lumpy and bumpy from here.
The stage was pretty good - this is definitely breakaway week - and it was good to finally see a really good bunch sprint. Poor old Mark Cavendish doesn't seem to be having the best of first Tours, but at least he got to the finish today in one piece. I can't decide whether his frustration last night was just new Tour guy nerves or if there really is a problem with a couple of people in T-Mobile. Huh.
Still, at least we got a good bunch sprint and today should be interesting. It's the kind of day that possibly favours a breakaway and I'd be surprised if the sprinters manage a really big go this afternoon. They might all be a little tired after the Cat 2 climb.
I was completely exhausted last night, so I had an early night. I did manage to spend some time starting to re-organise a few things on The Haven for the Doctor Who fic, though. And I also booked tickets to see Harry Potter on Saturday :-) So kind of a productive evening even though I was mostly asleep! Tonight I must study *nods*
