First, the important stuff.

Um, ouch.

That crash looked bloody painful :-( Looks like one chap may not be starting this morning - he was in hospital for a hip scan last night - and Freddy Rodriguez didn't look too good as he came across the line. It's the kind of thing you expect in the early stages, but still not good.

The finish was rather interesting. I'm seeing conflicting reports, but I somehow don't think it was the Quick Step plan for Steegmans to win ahead of Boonen. I'd imagine he got a bit of a talking to last night. It does make me wonder about Boonen, though. He should have been stronger than his lead-out man yet he didn't seem to be. All rather interesting. I didn't expect Robbie to make it after his effort on Sunday, so I'm not disappointed there. It does seem a shame that Mark Cavendish got taken out by another crash. When he finally makes it to the finish with the bunch, I'm anticipating him really going for the stage win out of sheer frustration at the past couple of days.

Wonder what today will bring?

Miraculously, my work actually got covered while I was out yesterday and it's not been too bad coming back. A few minor queries and extra jobs asked for, but nothing too big and most importantly my work actually got done. Yay! I was fully expecting to have to cram all of yesterday's work into today while also trying to get today's reports out. I now have high hopes of leaving at a sensible time so that I can watch my Tour coverage, eat something and have a nice, quiet night in.

I've just jinxed it, haven't I?

Yes, you probably have jinxed it :)

On a completely different subject, but I am being lazy and posting here instead of emailing, but I had a parcel of books from a friend of mine in America getting rid of some of her Chalet School paperbacks that she also has in hardback. And it includes Tom Tackles the Chalet School...

Apparently I did not jinx it because I left just after 4pm. I was a little surprised :-)

Woohoo!

And, um, Tom Tackles the Chalet School? Is there any chance that I can borrow that?

Hmm, now let me think... I need to read it first, but then you can. And I see from LibraryThing that you have most of the Chalet School in England books...

When can we arrange a meet-up? :-)

Aren't you supposed to be organising one?
