Research project stuff

selenayErf, I ache. My shoulders, my head, my neck, my back...you name it, I ache there. How is it possible to ache this much just sitting through at my computer typing?
Oh, yeah, the stress of typing project stuff.
I have actually begun work on the computer code portion of the research project. That meant spending most of the afternoon fiddling with classpaths, import statements and other nasty crap, but I have finally got some of the code written and it will compile. Tomorrow I have to build a command-line interface so that I can find out whether my compiled code will actually do what it's meant to i.e. connect to an FTP account. If it works first time, I'll be shocked. Nothing has worked first time in this project. Ever. It is *evil*.

I went out and bought sausages from the local butcher - he makes fancy ones that are extremely yummy. Sticky maple sausages. Mmm. It's my treat for spending eight frickin' hours trying to write working computer code. Yay!
