Still not interesting
Aug. 25th, 2004 06:08 pmStill sleepy. Not hungry because I actually ate a half-decent lunch for once, but the sleepy thing almost had me napping this afternoon. Grrr.
I have been thoroughly lazy, reading fanfic and catching up with The Bill instead of doing proper college work. I think the sleepy thing may be affecting my work schedule. Must do work tomorrow because it's research project day.
Is it disloyal to cheer for Aussies in cycling because I like Stuart O'Grady? I'm very chuffed that Team GB got bronze in the Madison, but I was cheering Australia to gold quite happily because they had O'Grady. Team GB has actually done really well in the track stuff this year. We didn't win anything in the road events (damn you, David Miller, for being a drug cheat and being our only real hope in the road events), but the track stuff has been encouraging. I've barely cheered for Team GB, though, reserving my joy for cyclists that I recognise and support from the regular peloton rather than cheering in a patriotic manner. I'm a bad Olympics person.
I did discover today that the upper hierarchy of the Catholic church is weird, confusing and a fantastic place to borrow ideas from when world-building. Not something that I thought I'd be researching for a novel, but very useful indeed.
