She's been driving...how many years?
Dec. 23rd, 2006 10:53 amMy lovely little sister came in a few minutes ago all worried because my car wouldn't start. I asked her whether she'd remembered to put her foot on the brake when turning the ignintion.
She had.
I checked that she hadn't accidentally put the car in gear before trying to start it.
She hadn't.
I put on the warm coat and boots, went out to the car and she started perfectly first time. There's a good reason she's called Sarah-Jane.
My sister asked how I did that and why didn't it work for her. I told her that I'd put my foot on the brake, turned the key and hey presto!
"Which one is the brake?"
*headdesk*
Yes, dear readers, she had been flooring the accelerator instead. Hopefully she'll return the car in one piece :-)
In other news, my father has gone to London in a vain attempt to buy my mother a Christmas present. His usual sense of organisation for Christmas strikes again! Poor man :-)

Sisters, can't live with 'em, can't shoot 'em!
