I'm still alive

Still alive, but very tired despite sleeping for ten hours last night. Am about to go out to a family birthday do so not likely to get less tired any time soon.

For anyone aware of who my employer is, they're currently running a 25% off promo on all wines (on top of any other promos that are already on bottles so the deals can be rather good) which we took advantage of this morning because it ends on Tuesday. Mother and I looked like complete alcoholics with all the wine we walked out with, but it's not all for us! Between the promo and my staff discount (might as well get the company for all the money I can...) we saved a ton of money on things we were planning to buy at some stage this month anyway, so it's all worked out :-)

I have been incredibly busy working on the modelling and coding for a big project at work. Obviously, I'm a total geek so I've enjoyed that work :-) Particularly the bit where nobody was allowed to give me other things to do until I've finished it so I got to concentrate on it properly. I was looking a little code-bleary yesterday, though.

I have thoughts on Torchwood that I will write up properly tomorrow. For now, enough to say that it's vying with Small Worlds for favourite episode of the season *bfg*

Quick message for paranoidangel42: I got indulgent on Thursday when doing some Christmas shopping on Amazon and bought Henry Jenkins' new book, Convergence Culture. You're welcome to borrow when I'm finished :-)
