A Holby City moment
Nov. 29th, 2006 10:29 amHolby City, you are a fickle mistress.
Last week you killed off one of my favourite characters and didn't kill Chrissie.
This week you gave me two reasons to be very happy:
1. Connie has new and interesting reasons to be bitchy, grouchy and arrogant. I'm very happy with this storyline (I can see some potential amusement moments as well as possibly interesting plot) so long as you don't use this as an excuse to soften her into not!Connie. I'm quite happy if she ocassionally has a human moment (loved her storyline with Gina), but Connie needs to be bitchy, sarcastic, mean and arrogant 95% of the time to retain the Connie-ness of her.
2. Dan Clifford. I'd love this character even if he weren't Peter Wingfield. The existence of Peter Wingfield just makes him an even better character. The moment with his ex-fiancee and the crockery even had my father in stitches. Plus he plays Bohemian Raphsody while operating - great character and good taste in music :-)
Thank you, Holby City, for making my evening of guilty, terrible TV pleasure even better.
I should now be taken outside and shot for having such a dreadful TV-addiction :-) Anyone know where I can get an appropriate icon?

Anyways, got caught by your comment on Holby City so followed along to your journal and I've got to agree with your comments about the introduction of Dan Clifford. Being a fan of Peter's since his Methos days, I was very much pleased to hear that he was joining Holby City, and last night's episode certainly didn't disappoint.
His character promises to add a lively twist to the cast of regulars! Here's to next week!
As we seem to share a number of fandoms, mind if I friend you?
Thanks!

Date: 2006-11-29 04:24 pm (UTC)Caught him as Tanith (sp?) in SG before that, knowing that he was also Methos, and I think I remember seeing him in some medical thing donkeys years ago. He's always great to watch whatever he's playing :-) Also got to see Peter Wingfield at a con, which was incredibly cool and made me a very happy person :-)
His character is definitely going to make life interesting on HC and I have high hopes for the addition *gg*
We do seem to have a number of fandoms in common so friend away. It would be good to have people out there to share the Holby/Peter Wingfiend squee!
