I am currently very, very tired despite sleeping a lot yesterday and having an early night last night, my back hurts and I'm generally not feeling too clever today.

Therefore, I shall list the good things in my life to remind me why it's not as bad as it seems:

1. I saw Best Friend in America on Friday evening, she stayed the night and we had a lot of fun.
2. Birthday dinner with The Girls on Friday night was too much fun - we closed out the restaurant and had a generally fabulous evening.
3. I have the Doctor Who season 2 boxset.
4. I have last night's episode of Torchwood waiting for me watch tonight.
5. I have Wintersong, the new Sarah McGlaughlin (totally mis-spelt) albumn.
6. My iPod is wonderful and has Wintersong on it.
7. The sun has just come out so I can go for a nice walk in the park for lunch.
8. I have some totally wonderful friends.

I actually have a lot of very good things in my life right now.

Well for the Canadian one, I'll be better prepared next year. I always say that about Passover too! The American one went well, apart from the food being cold :o( B had worked her buns off getting it all done from scratch on a crappy stove and it was much appreciated. My eldest likes pecan pie (although I wouldn't let her have the actual pecan nuts just in case) and her candied yams were lovely. She really got a taste for cooking. So much so, that I had her doing veg prep for Shabbos the following day, and she prepared a beef casserole for the slow cooker all by herself :o)

I said thank you for the family I've chosen, for my kids and my health, hockey, beer and football. In that order! We watched part of the Miami/Detroit game, which was frankly pretty lame but it's a tradition so what can ya do? And I have the other games on DVD.

Not as satisfying as watching the Lions beat Montreal in the Grey Cup though *g*

I really shouldn't be here yanno. I saw a bumper sticker the other day with 'England. Love it, or leave it'.

Just give me a Canadian visa, honey. I'm gone!

*hugs* I liked this week's Torchwood, although some of it was a bit like the relevant episode of Buffy, but then I suppose there's only place you can go with the idea. And the DW series 2 box-set is very cool, even just looking at the pictures :)
