I am exhausted but finally feeling well enough to call myself better. So I'm back to work tomorrow. It feels kind of odd to follow that with a genuine yipee but...

I have also just ordered a microphone so that I can experiment with this making of telephone calls that LJ Talk promises may be possible. And also a USB cable that I think is the right type. The USB ports on the front of my computer are dying and the ones on the back are a bugger to get to, so I'm hoping that this cable will allow me to plug into the back of the 'puter and have a nice little extension that's easy to get to. If it works then I'll order a couple more. If it's the wrong type then I'll be thinking again. Possibly about a USB hub. Hmm.

Now I have to write a politely worded email to refuse a possible web design contract (for another faith based site) because I honestly don't have the time and I have to start living up to my mantra of not over-extending myself.

Then I will flop in my chair next to the radiator and try to stay awake for another hour.

I'm starting to feel the need for an LotR re-read. Bad Sel.

You may possibly also want to look at getting a SkypeIn number for once you're away amongst the mooses, so non-Internetty people can call you on a UK number. (Which is best out of the Gizmo and Skype services for calling out I know not but Gizmo doesn't appear to have the dial-in ability.)

*g* Ideally I'd like to have both a UK number and a US number - I currently have friends and family living over the Pond and it would be much cheaper to call me if I have a US (or even better, Canadian) number. Having a UK number for when I move would also be tres cool.

Gizmo is charging 1.2cents per minute for calls out to Canada, which is my primary need - unless Skype can beat that and allow me a US number then I'll probably stick with a system that's already loaded on my PC :-)
