With paranoidangel42's invaluable help in finding most of the communities, my latest project is ready for public viewing:

Fandom newsletter index

This page aims to provide links to all the newsletter communities out there in one handy place. It's organised by fandom and includes a number of multi-fandom newsletters. If you know of a newsletter that I don't have listed, put the link in a comment or email me and I'll add it to the index. I'm particularly interested in fandoms that have no active newsletters listed.

I'll try to get announcements out to interested communities, but feel free to pimp this around anywhere that you think will find it useful.

I also have a smaller HP newsletter for you which is fairly new: snack_prophet, for Snape/Black, published twice a month.

Ooh, you even have Torchwood daily (whose RSS & Atom feeds are screwed up already so I can't read it) and the new on mentioned on metafandom today. I was just thinking I ought to tell you about those, as well!

*g* I spotted both of those and put them on immediately. I'm hoping that Torchwood Daily starts running pretty soon, though, because DW_daily look like they're not going to be listing Torchwood stuff for long.

I also keep a reference of fandom newsletters/noticeboard here (http://wistfuljane.livejournal.com/116386.html) and a quick scan between the two lists gave me:

Ooh, thank you for those! And for spotting the typo :-) I've added those communities to the list - they've filled in several blanks so that's really cool.

paranoidangel42 did the hard part of tracking down most of those - I just grabbed the links and coded :-)

Metal Gear Solid fandom has one over at http://community.livejournal.com/mgsnews/. Weekly to biweekly to whenever-the-heck-there's-enough-to-warrant-updating. It's a slow-moving fandom. :P

sv_ledger is currently every-5-days, and we don't link to everything fandom has produced (impossible), only what we find are the best fics, art, meta, etc. :o)

Thanks for letting me know. It's not always easy to spot a frequency pattern that's different from daily/weekly when I'm skimming the first few posts in the newsletter - I've updated the description to be more accurate and noted that it's the best of the fandom rather than a general everything newsletter. I suspect that will be very useful for the people who just don't have time to wade through the dreadful stuff looking for the good fic!

I have an addition for you, though. In HP, there's also the fairly new and small kingsley_news, which is, as the name suggests, Kingsley Shacklebolt-centric.

I found someone with some delicious tagged newsletters and checked them against the list and found one more:

vidder_weekly (not been updated since April 2006)

middleearthnews, although it says it's issued three times a week, it's actually every weekday.

Also, your Ouran title is in a different colour to the other titles

For the Eureka fandom, there's eureka_newslttr, and the new Battlestar Galactica fandom has starbuck_daily for news related to the character of Kara Thrace.

whedon_updates is a relatively new Buffy and Angel newsletter that collates all posts to whedonverse_nb (also new) on a daily basis.

There's also nevergone_news for Backstreet (Popslash) and lotrips_news for Lotr RPF but they both haven't been updated.

Thanks for those links - I've added them with notes that they haven't been updated. Back issues of these newsletters, though, are often a good archive resource particularly in fandoms that are spread around LJ a lot so I've been keeping inactive ones in the list.

I realize that you already have two House newsletters listed, but you don't have house_md_news up (and that's often the most active of the three in the fandom).

We've been struggling with the format and finding staff but hope to be consistent (daily) soon.
